Cleaning Procedure

As efficient internal cleaning and maintenance of any building begins with the installation of an effective barrier matting system, thorough cleaning and maintenance of the system itself is essential if the matting is to perform efficiently. If allowed to reach saturation point, the matting will relay soilage onto the adjacent flooring, which will lead to a chain of soil transfer to all corners of the building. The consequences of this can be extremely costly and disruptive in rectification.

CLEANING PROCEDURE

Daily

Remove all soil and debris from the matting by sweeping with a coarse brush and vacuuming the pile as appropriate.

Weekly/Periodically

Use proprietary solution to remove any chewing gum wads. Use a dry cleaning compound (such as Host) to remove oil or grease build-up. The matting should then be allowed to dry thoroughly before use.

EMERGENCY

Immediate attention should be paid where spillage occurs to avoid tracking of the substance onto adjacent floor surfaces. The area should be isolated with appropriate safety barriers while the cleaning process is implemented.

These essential steps will help to sustain the active characteristics of the matting ensuring continuous performance.
